Hydrating Date–Banana Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana (fresh or frozen)

  • 250 ml milk (dairy or oat/almond)

  • 150 g Greek yogurt (or 1 small pot)

  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract or a pinch of cinnamon (optional)

  • 4–6 ice cubes (skip if using frozen banana

Step-by-step

  • Add everything to a blender.

  • Blend 30–45 seconds until smooth.

  • Taste and adjust: more milk = thinner, more yogurt/banana = thicker, more honey = sweeter.

  • Pour and drink straight away.

  • Protein: 1 scoop protein powder or 1 tbsp peanut butter

  • Fibre: 1 tbsp chia seeds or oats

  • Extra fruit: handful of berries (great with banana)
